Actually a very good flash. Quite powerful and very flexible by rotating and flipping. The operation is quite simple, and the Belichtug is really first class generally. Unfortunately has the flash but not (yet) a problem: If there are several flashes in succession under severe conditions (eg folded down Lens, since the flash unit automatically returns zoomed in "Wide") does not quite manage the flash unit with the new Sony Multi Interface Shoe - it pops repeatedly in between times completely outshone frames. The Metz Service makes an excellent impression: Very expertly my sent to you by email image series were analyzed and the Metz software error was also found in the development lab. There will be some time in a firmware update in the Metz will address the philosophy features of Sony Multi Interface Shoes. I will not return the device because it is a great flash otherwise and because I trust in the Metz software developers. As long as I'm just not going to the limits of the flash unit.
Supplement on 27 September 2014: My confidence in the development department of Metz was rewarded. I was informed yesterday that the software update is available immediately. Success: The Metz mecablitz 52 AF-1 for Sony Multi Interface Shoe is now working hervorrragend! There are at quickly made 500 pictures (mostly very fast continuous shooting with the Sony A77 MkII) not an over flash error etc. When the flash unit out of breath with such series, the images are simply dark, and when the power is back, is again exposed erstklassigig everything. For the new Sony devices clearly the best philosophy (not so with Canon and Nikon ...). Full 5 stars!
