The image quality of the transmitted over the network TV programs is very good, purely subjective it seems to me even a bit better than among the normal Elgato Freeview sticks. Disconnections or delays could in the transmission so far I could not observe the switching between the transmitters are a little more than 1.5 seconds perfectly acceptable and do not interfere in daily life necessarily. Installation and configuration are relatively simple, only connect the device via LAN cable to the router and then start on the computer EyeTV (2 software licenses are included). The software is usually the box and automatically performs the rest of the installation. In addition, the box has a Web interface (via Bonjour accessible) for example, firmware updates aufzuspielen or display status messages.
The workmanship is typical of Elgato fairly solid, the aluminum casing acts quality and can be accommodated by its dimensions easily anywhere. The only drawback is the supplied antenna: it involves the same model that is included with other sticks (mini rod antenna with magnetic base and suction cup), a version with a slightly longer cable would have been nice. Especially since you rather somewhere would accommodate the hidden box.
Thanks to dual tuner Manage multiple devices access the box, go parallel recordings to a computer and live TV on another computer. If both tuners are covered with photographs, will appear in this one EyeTV. One must also not worried that have a scheduled recording fails, the programming always have priority over the live streams. The required bandwidth is about 600 KB / s per channel, who at the same time take over the WLAN and would like to see another channel live should therefore make sure that at least 1.2 MB / s over the network are possible.
After I have used so far with the normal sticks directly on the laptop is the Netstream DTT a real improvement. I finally throughout the house ordinary TV reception (WLAN must of course be present) and also no longer has to permanently sacrifice the precious USB ports for a DVB-T stick.
I was a little skeptical before buying, mainly because of the rather high price. For my purposes, it is currently the ideal solution and I'd Netstream DTT Recommend anytime.
