Breaks in rhythm of the inconstant drawing gags that fall flat on his face. Yet this series keeps an undeniable charm because it shows, cruelty but with often more effective humor that is documented (Nakamura obviously knows the history of the Councils better than French!) On Buddha as on Jesus, a religion rooted in its historical context of origin (eg in Japan before Jesus Fish Festival for Children said with wonder in a child and in all innocence that the real daddy is in heaven, what of course the kid cry!) can seriously affect the health, and that is the religion to adapt to the society in which it is located, not the reverse. Thus, while we expand the spleen, Nakamura dismantled by Jesus and Buddha stupidity of fundamentalism and obscurantism. And we see Jesus and Buddha not only fit with enthusiasm in Japan of the 21st century, but most never seek to hurt or help themselves to more than humans among whom they are inserted successfully. This volume addresses the human aspects of Buddha and Jesus (the theologians will be delighted) with healthy irony: Buddha with his chubby air gets his son Rahula, resists her mother who wants to take it with him, and Jesus evokes Joseph and Mary, ancestry still delicate. Casually, the mysteries of the Incarnation of our two divine figures are regarded with the current shift, and become anachronisms often hilarious. The gags with the Disciples of Jesus are not all hitting (or are good for teenagers, not more) as those of Buddha with Mara. Published in Japan in 2011, I hope that Nakamura is taken, and that the cartoon has not put permanently dulled his humor. However, as this comment, the descent to Earth from different Companions of Buddha as Jesus suggests that Nakamura will make a manga like the others, 20 or 40 volumes, and that, apart from the genre junkies fed cartoons endless, the Pokemon, Dragon Ball etc. This is a genius idea also for adults will become a soap opera for fans mariole under 20 (sometimes 40), without which the first 3 will regret.
No depth Schultz (Peanuts Father sublime) or Quino (Mafalda's father), or Chaplin on the set of 7 volumes, damage, I believed: it begins to turn, sometimes dangerously series Z spotty French comedies of the 1970s Wasabi is not enough! Nakamura, you pick!
