Positives:
+ Very good performance bracket (all tested fabrics could be ironed smooth; in linen, there was improvement in smoothness of the fabric at any time); I could immediately after ironing a pair of jeans (100% cotton) fabrics made of synthetic material iron without the soleplate stuck or smelled burned it.
+ Excellent processing (eg power cord is fabric-coated; station stands on 6 rubber feet; small gap sizes of plastic components, high-quality feel, etc.)
+ Very easy to operate; within 2 min. operational
+ Transport lock can be activated and released effortlessly with one keystroke.
+ Very quiet
+ Water tank can be emptied completely -> no odor wg. Bacterial growth
+ Soleplate glides without steam very easily accessible from the laundry
+ Frustration-Free Packaging; protected with 2 paper Foam elements ironing station is lifted with a cloth bag from the carton.
Negatives:
- Water tank has to be taken out of the station to be able to dry
Conclusion:
The performance of the Philips GC9540 Ironing / 02 is suitable for most fabrics very well and without any problem, without much noise or steam. Burn marks appear to belong to the Philips steam generator iron the past. The handling of the ironing system is exemplary. If you want even difficult lingerie super smooth ironing is probably more pleased with the Siemens SL45.
Without active ironing table, the laundry is relatively humid, because effective drying phase is omitted due to the relatively low soleplate temperature.
