What is this for?
A CPL kit serves to network a device (PC or other) to a router / modem using the electricity network in your home. The advantage is that the flow rate is higher than the wifi, it is stable unlike WiFi, and connects remote devices without having to pull a cable through the whole house.
In my case, I use it with a Livebox Play Orange on the fiber. The router is in a ground floor room, and the TV receiver is upstairs about twenty meters.
How it works?
installation is very simple, just plug the two elements where you intend to use and support one second on the button that is used to match. Both receivers recognize, and you'll never have to do anything. For a year, I have not touched it, they are permanently connected.
They are equipped with an integrated power outlet that allows you not to condemn a decision. If using a power strip, do not connect the CPL on the strip, but plug the power strip on the CPL. It must always be in the "upstream".
Does it work?
Yes, very well even. The transmission speed (which is perhaps not final) lets me completely seamlessly watch TV in HD and 5.1 sound while recording another program. Basically if you have a concern, it probably comes from your online rather than what CPL kit. If the TV in HD goes, everything goes, and I do not see what domestic use would flirt with the limits of the kit, unless you have data transfer Giga / s from CERN. Note that this kit is compatible with other PLC kit other brands (particularly with the CPL Free or Orange), allowing to increase its local network simply.
So happy?
Yes. Ravi same. And I recommend it!
