Unfortunately, there is also a downside, which is why I forgive even 4 out of 5 stars. As mentioned above, the lamp is operated with a 18650 battery. Since the battery compartment of the lamp is extremely narrow, one should probably resort to a battery with 2600mAh NiteCore. Why? Because the lamp has been tested with such a battery by the manufacturer and, accordingly, must fit. My old Solarforce with 2400mAh just fit into it so and my new ENERPOWER with 2600mah go there only by flip flop. Furthermore, it is a bit tricky to unscrew the battery cover in the dark in the correct position on the lamp as a guide pin is inserted in the cover, with which one has to make a matching hole in the lamp housing. The fact that the spring and the pin also can still be rotated in the cover, does not make things easier ...
Conclusion: I was able to climb the lamp so far, geocaching, cycling and test pit in recorded tracks. Its enormous brightness and quality workmanship makes sure a reliable, if a little tricky companion. But I think after a few times 'battery change' you get the hang of it. At this price, I would definitely grab again NiteCore!
