Amazing is the focal range, the lens covers this but very handy: 90 to 350mm on's full format converted. How handy it is, everyone can see that even puts it next to a z. B. 70-300er telephoto for a DSLR. And especially nice is it when these two telephoto lenses are actually zoomed to 300 or 350 (in this case 175) mm. That was the time when I was really impressed by the little ones. The large objective lens moves then that its tube and is estimated 50% longer than it already is. The Lumix lens stays the way it is. Which means, it not only has an indoor Focus, but also an internal zoom. For me this is a huge advantage, because the vacuum cleaner effect, which always takes place when the lens tube off at other zoom and retracts again, does not take place here. The risk that dust gets into the lens is reduced by this cause.
A last sentence (or two) still for sharpness of the images I have with the lens (the zoom can be the way to operate by the lever on top of the G6) in bad weather very distant objects (landing on the water birds) in good sharpness get on the monitor. Likewise, it was not a problem, as a sharp image from about a meter away raindrops, who had gathered on blades of grass that the area was in upside down again. From far away to almost-already-macro it can do everything.
Overall, it is for me a very pleasant, useful lens that takes photos at every focal length, as I imagine with. I can only make a statement for the combination with the G6. However, this falls in all respects extremely positive.
