Since this is 50 euros more expensive than the Pioneer in section and it does not already appealed to me from the images in terms of optics so, I looked at both amplifiers times in our local Saturn store. Here, I had to realize that the impact of the images of the Yamaha RX-V473 have not deceived. In direct comparison to Pioneer processing m acts. E. backward. This is not to say that the processing works ... cheap but also not good. Another plus was the 6 HDMI inputs as opposed to the 4 of Yamaha. One or the other will say now "What 4 inputs ranging from fully yet, what do you have for everything to feed players at home?". Personally, I had already before buying 4 setter and just wanted to be future proof (z. B. for the new Xbox or Wii) and do not feel like that at some point I have to mess about with this apparently never-functioning HDMI splitters.
Therefore, I have entered the "risk" and have shot me the Pioneer on Amazon. He was - as usual - delivered super fast and well packed. The building was as expected. The device I have perceived as not as complicated as portrayed by some here. I had invited me in advance the manual from the manufacturer's site on iPad and had at hand. Although I - portrayed as in the said recessions - also not a fan of am that a manual (if at all) only included yet on CD these days, I'd pull the amplifier for this no star, as this as I said now every time manufacturers than normal applies. Also, the poor, or rather said underground cutting off the amplifier at some presented here recessions due to the supposedly bad or weak bass I can not understand completely. After automatic (using the supplied microphone) setting up the amplifier and the bass I felt too weak as something. But if one makes clever in the manual, you can see that can be individually configured, the frequencies of all connected speakers (also of Supwoofers). After the automatic establishment of Supwoofer to 0 dB has been set for my area (Teufel Concept P). I have this value now stand at +1 after a little Rumprobiererei. Anything goes beyond that is not suitable for an apartment in an apartment building ... unless you want to go with the surrounding tenants on a war footing :-). If the bass frequency during different missions (ie TV, video, game, music, etc.) are perceived to be too high or too low as, can be controlled during the operation at short notice on the remote fine adjustment (in increments of two from -6 to +6) make.
The inclusion in my network ran flawlessly. Both the netradio features and AirPlay function of the first second without any problems. Here are just a little tip: If you your Apple device via AirPlay transmits to the amplifier, adjusts the volume down before the device. This is namely passed 1 to 1 to the amplifier, which could lead to an eardrum rupture, depending on the ;-)
In short: For me, the amplifier for the price (had here on Amazon paid 250 EUR) absolute top class. The sound during movies, games and even with music (have a pure home theater system, which is rather suboptimal for music playback) is head and shoulders, and especially finer than with my old Sony amplifier.
A star, I prefer from anyway. Background: The app Policy of Pioneer. Apparently the apps for every model generation to be redeveloped to program rather than an overarching. This means that any app-generation only supports a certain number of devices; App older versions are not developed ... the latest is the set. This is absolutely not up to date; especially when they advertised aggressively as a manufacturer just for this feature. To this end, deduct a star, seems to be for one or the other over the top, m. E. nowadays but just these little things that tip the scales.
