After I had looked at the device in stores and "sniffs," I was convinced, however, that it must be individual cases here.
Now about the device itself:
What auffält first, but is the very compact design. The device is indeed fully made of plastic, but looks very stylish, especially in black and compact square design.
The first "cool" reaped the machine during commissioning. All parts that come into contact with coffee, can be removed with the coffee outflow can even disassemble yet. So may fix coffee deposits nowhere, as with many other Maschienen. In addition, you can enter all the removable parts incl. Water tank in the dishwasher. Cleaning is therefore really easy, problem-free and hygienic.
After the initial cleaning came the Senseo Quadrante leads first through a rinsing process to replenish the supply system and flush out any existing production residues. For this one fills the water tank to max. and provides a 1,5l sive vessel under the discharge. The Maschiene now once pumped through the entire contents of the water tank. After that it is ready for use. Already here there was the second "cool" to be reported, since the Senseo Quadrante is much quieter than my old Melitta E901 Padma rail.
At first I had doubts as to whether the preset amount of water is sufficient, because you can not set this as the Melitta E901 itself. These concerns were already scattered but with the first cups of coffee. When you press the button "1 cup" fills the enclosed 4-square Senseo cup almost to the brim. In "2 cups" gives the amount exactly a 90% - 95% filled cup. Perfectly measured.
So we come zm main point - the result of the brewing process. And here there is directly the next "cool" to report, because unlike many other pod machine and even unlike my AEG silencio fully automatic machines the coffee is hot - really hot - too hot for me to drink it right away - what but is always better to create than lukewarm Plürre. Cold is the coffee later already own.
With entscheident for the purchase of course were the pads that you - can buy anywhere and from virtually any manufacturer and which are significantly cheaper - as opposed, for example, for Melitta machine. Something I was disappointed with the supplied original Senseo pads. The thus brewed coffee was too bright, transparent and thin, regardless of whether it was the mild, normal or strong Pads (of course I have drawn with the cups pads only cups).
My first attempt with foreign Pads led me to Rewe, where I bought a package of 30 pads Rewe-organic coffee. And again I was pleasantly surprised. 30 Rewe-organic coffee pads cost (today, on 10/01/2012 3,29 Euro). It contains 219g coffee. That is about 6.99 a pound of coffee - which is a relatively normal rate for me. By comparison, costs 12 Melitta pads 4.99 euros and 12 capsules for Tassimo 4.69 Euro (all prices today, 10.01.2012 determined in Rewe). The Rewe pads, although it is also about cups pads, for me this rich but also for a cup and I drink my coffee not just weak. But even when comparing per cup pads perform considerably better than the products for other pad or capsule Maschienen. I suspect that this is due to the greater variety / competitors.
From the other reviews described in smell and / or taste of plastic I can not really find anything as well.
A small negative point there yet: The pads are relatively wet after brewing. Again, I see again with the predecessor, the Melitta E901 at which the pads were ejected nearly dry after brewing. Unfortunately, there is no collection container for use pads, so you have to dispose of them, either directly in the trash or a waiting vessel.
How it looks with the durability of the device, of course, use läst not say after a few days. Should something remarkable Ergebn, I will add my review.
