2300 Watt, Durilium soleplate, 120 g / min shot of steam, water spray, temperature controller and a switch "steam off / on", there is nothing more in this iron, really nothing that my old irons had not, but the practice:
The appliance heats up more slowly, but until you put laundry hangers and ready, everything is good hot. Even after unplugging the soleplate takes longer to cool down. The water can be very well fill in the large filling opening. The water tank is very large, it fit 2 measuring cup my old iron pure (at Tefal none was), the old just over one. The almost only I wear cotton, the device is always on almost the highest level. For continuous steam draw here quite a lot of steam is expelled, which manifests itself in a strong water consumption noticeable (and a steam sauna - Feeling after a short time). I'd rather have turned off the steam and worked with the "Turbo" button. Faster glide over the fabric I could not find, however, a much faster straightening and working with the device. I had been saving just for the test 3 machine wash and saved me here more than a third of the usual ironing time !!! Even those shirts that were too tame to the old iron and hardly despite careful treatment always wrinkled and creased had, I got problems with the smooth Tefal. In jeans and dress pants thicker, the difference was smaller, but still clearly felt, at least for the time. As usual now my +/- list:
++ Very good ironing service
++ Very good steam output
++ Large water hole and water tank
++ Turbo steam jet
+ Well thought-out design (footprint, clearly arranged water reservoir, cable rewind)
+ Scratch-resistant soleplate
+ Steam brewing process stops when inclination (mounting board) and at locations on vertical footprint of the iron
Determine +/- no difference between the sliding Durilium and stainless steel soleplate
- Only on / off switch for steam dispensing. Not steam quantity adjustable, varies only by temperature control
- High water consumption for continuous steam supply and high temperature
- A long warm-up time, but especially long cooling time after ironing
All in all, especially the ironing time the negative points are negligible, convinced. Therefore, my old irons wanders into the basement and the Tefal will continue to do its duty with me. The price / line ratio is good, currently about 60, - EUR justified! Those looking for a good iron, which is worth its price and a good ironing performance has, will find the Tefal FV3920. I was convinced it anyway!
