However according motherboards it may be difficult to place the card additionnelle.Dans my case it just happens, but 2mm again this did not happen. The additional card used primarily for audio acquisition, it will not serve everyone.
I'll start with a negative point. The card is not supported properly under Linux at the moment. When I say Linux is with ALSA. Jessaierai later with OSS4.
Windows 7 64 bit, no problem with the CD included in the bundle. Direct installation impeccable.
The sound emerged is really better than sound cards "standard". It does really feel that with the right equipment: 5.1 quality kit, good mixer or amplifier. But the difference really means, especially at high volume.
The case I most felt the difference in quality was a party or the pc was plugged into an amp with 1kw pregnant. Obviously it was the stereo, but the sound, even very strong remained absolutely impeccable. Unlike with the sound of my current map mother (like everyone else we say), where you really had to handle different equalizers to not "blow up" the ears of everyone.
The connector is not a standard connector in the sense that the traditional jack to connect a pair of speakers is not present. Although is is not the purpose of the card to be plugged into this type of material, it will be appreciated that a RCA / jack adapter is provided. This may well help occasionally.
Sound management software supplied with the card allows pretty nice things like smooth the volume continuously to avoid splinters or unannounced, to manage the volume of the dialogues in a film. If these settings are not perfect, it is still very nice to watch movies at night without waking the neighbors.
So for now I'm happy with the product, but I expect a clean support in linux to be fully satisfied.
