Its size makes this speaker sounds pretty mono and is quite Directive: must stay in front and having ears at the same height as the speaker to get the best results.
The build quality is perfect.
Sound is using the wrong SBC codec (it is difficult to explain, given the price, the lack of support APTX and AAC). Bose reworks the sound in its way, does what he can to remedy the weaknesses of the codec. The result, quite remarkable in view of the small size of this place, however, gives bass that are too highlighted and a lack of treble, with a fairly substantial drop from 7 kHz (SBC ...) . This product will appeal more to fans of electronic music as acoustic music.
If we can consider this as very good, it is compared to other portable speakers. In no way do expect this device a Hi-Fi level. One can get better sound on a mini-chain less than 150 euros ... but portability is not there.
This enclosure is perfectly suited to mobile use (worthy heir to the portable radio station, eats the disk and the portable cassette radio lol) and to spend a nice time with friends outdoors. Its autonomy, given its size is excellent (about 8 hours) and largely sufficient in absolute terms. One can regret the absence of remote control, microphone (and hence handsfree function).
Inside, we would probably quickly to its chain or helmet or we will couple it with his computer, however with lower results than a good speaker kit.
It will fit perfectly to the music with powerful bass (techno, trance, hip hop, Deep Cover, Rn'B) much less classical or jazz.
Tastes in music aesthetics material significantly differs from one person to another, I would strongly advise the potential buyer to try before deciding because the investment is important.
The absence of a carrying case (available as an accessory at an exorbitant price), "sounds a bit mono", the lack of APTX and AAFC and especially its positioning in terms of cost, lack of remote control no speakerphone I do not grant this product 4 * instead of 5.
