We need not discuss whether this lens can keep the image quality such as a 17-50mm Tamron Tamron 70-300mm VC USD 2.8 + here. It can not, of course. But it's not that the deterioration is so strong that it would have no raison d'être. You get a great all-rounder, saves the lens changes and the focal length range is really fun. My D5100 with the part disappears into a small bag and go by bike and hardly weight here. A true universal zoom with satisfactory quality.
