One first: I did not buy the product because I am dissatisfied with the original Nespresso capsules. Of course, the prices are steep and on the internet there are numerous reports on the effects of aluminum in the capsules on the organism.
For me it was basically about being able to try different types of coffee, because my wife loves Juan Valdez coffee from Colombia.
To review:
1. I have made myself the web smart and also still open a Lungo capsule of Nespresso, nachgewochen and watched the grinder. I arrived at about 7 grams of coffee and an extremely fine degree of grinding. The Juan Valdez coffee is significantly coarser. In addition, I got only 6 grams of effort into the capsule. But is probably normal, since the packaging is the indication that best espresso coffee should be used.
2. So I have coffee filled into the capsules and pressed using the enclosed spoon. Then I glued the capsule. In a second capsule I have refilled again a little coffee to test and re-pressed until the capsule was full. Taped re - done. The aluminum foils fit well and keep very well. Overall, I was amazed at how little "dirt" has made the filling.
Striking is at this point that the capsules have Capsul'in behind all appearances, open pores for the flow of water and are not sealed as Nespresso original capsules. That is for me. (Etc small Tupperware bowl) Store in an airtight packaging when preparing more.
3. Preparation: The capsules fit well in my Nespresso machine Cube. I decided to prepare a Lungo, because it is at present Juan Valdez is normal coffee the expression "medium". The closing of the lock is a little strict, the water flow takes place without any problems and the Lungo had an approximately 0.5 cm high Crema. In the "tasting" I realized that the coffee of the pressed solid and filled to the brim capsule clearly tasted better than the coffee the other capsule. Overall a very good result for the first live test. I'll have something to test the amount of water, because according to m. E. slightly less coffee in it, as in the Nespresso capsules.
Conclusion:
For those who want to test other times in their coffee Nespresso machine and like "DIY" :-), a witty and quite flavorful attractive alternative.
I am happy and look forward to further coffees and associated test this.
