Overall I am very satisfied with the shell, but it has one or the other defect which has caused a whole with me to a star deduction.
ASSEMBLY:
The shell comes preassembled per se, which is why I am also rather with mounting the assembly in the car here.
+ The buckling up is relatively simple.
+ There is no great "assembly" is necessary. With Anschnallbasis she is strapped really fast.
- In smaller cars, the belt is back happy times too short, there has to be laid over the entire base. We therefore need to buy the Anschnallbasis it. Then make it fit very well in smaller cars.
- The shell is significantly higher than the back seat out to the front. That is for the passenger remains possibly not much legroom. Behind the driver's seat, it is not with us when my husband travels.
OPTICS:
+ Neutral and looks at herself good
MATERIAL:
+ The lining is soft and I feel also comfortable for our son
+ The sunscreen is specially sealed UV.
- The original cover is a nonwoven fabric, and now that it is getting warmer sweats our son very fact, especially on the head. He can not stand. The summer cover will cost a whopping 40+ EUR. I find that quite rude and then somewhere really expensive.
SEAT POSITION:
The criticism was here several times and I can only say that when our son the head is not "forward" tilt when he is not wearing a seatbelt correctly. In my experience, you have to be careful to the following things:
1. The child should sit relaxed in the seat when tightening the belt and do not try to just raise. Then the straps at the end are not tight enough
2. Along with this item 2: The belt must be tightened. One can not buckle up "too hard" the child.
3. The padding on the shoulder straps should go centered over the shoulder - not too far behind, otherwise the child will be pushed away from the rest and not too far forward or they no longer serve their purpose as protection.
4. Check the position of the head restraint again, as the child grows so constantly. If they are too deep pressing on his shoulders and the child can effectively no longer lean back properly. If they are too high, the head too much play to the left and right.
5. The child must sit down with the butt right down on the seat. It's happening quickly, especially if the head restraint is not adjusted properly, that it is too far "backwards" and moves it half sitting on the backrest surface with. I always controlling hand, if the bottom is actually located on the "trough" between back and seat and the back rests on the arm.
EDIT:
I have now at another car also saw exactly what two internal reviewer felt "tilt forward head" with. This effect apparently occurs very clear on when the rear seat is too steep and is a phenomenon of the many other infant carriers are affected (eg Romans). So this is not due to the infant carrier but on the car.
If the angle between the seat and backrest of the rear seat is too steep, the baby car seat is urged by the angle of the seat in the "wrong" direction, ie so that it stands up steeper.
Romans has here seemingly standard with some infant carriers now settled with a wedge to compensate for that.
You can also compensate themselves with a wedge (alternatively folded towels) angle. At least with the Anschnallbasis should no negative effect may occur because the forces down through the belt still can act the same.
For the aspired angle but you should be careful that you to not push in the opposite direction, as a "lying" child would absorb in a crash just over the shoulders of the forces and not as planned and securely over the entire upper body.
How it would work with Isofix however is beyond me.
So it may well be, depending on the car that these shell and method of attachment is very inappropriate.
EDIT END
+ The child is safe when it is buckled. When our son was younger he did a beautiful hunchback, as it is also recommended for baby slings. Now that he is 6 months, he is already sitting safely alone and also because it is still sitting comfortably and well.
- If the child is more agile and actually do not want to sit in the bowl, the correct buckling up before be a torment. It is not easy to trick only "child, mooring belt somewhere and finish halt. Safety and comfort for parents in terms of laziness, go here do not hand in hand.
PRICE:
The price is still bearable for me. It is a 0+ shell, should reach 13 kilos. Whether our little giant then there really still fits in another question. With good 70cm in just 6 months, I have my doubts. But they will keep at least longer than the pure group 0 shells.
And quality and safety has now once its price.
But is expected then necessary for us become base and also a summer cover, which we probably will have to buy, so that our son can not totschwitzt added, then it will gradually quite expensive, because then you're here with all the trimmings at well over 200 EUR. And at one point or another (Anschnallbasis and also the Summer Cover) is accessed mercilessly here of Perego. So expensive things can not be in the making. The Summer Cover I have perceived as adding to the base as a matter of course, if the actual reference is not at all easy summer product.
OTHER:
* I can not compare whether the shell is heavier or lighter than others. With more than 9 kilos child it is getting a little hard to ...
- The shell can be worn folded up with modest total sunscreen, because the distance between handle and sunscreen is no longer present quasi.
Overall, my cup is well with the listed deficiencies still worth 4 stars. She is sure that have described numerous tests and fits our son despite its size purely good. We have since also still some play upwards.
