I had initially ordered the HW-F750. In order to hang them under the television, it was me then too large. Alternatively, I now have the HW-F550. The is the same from the subwoofer ago, otherwise it differs essentially only by the lack of tubes. The sound was perhaps a little warmer, but I do not feel it at any rate as 200 euros "more" value. The location of the subwoofer to the left of the sofa is ruled out (on both models), because you can very softly hear the dialogues. That irritates and puts the often described, any position of the subwoofer. Situated opposite left corner is all ok.
The Soundbar is ruckzuck connected with an HDMI-ARC cable to my Samsung TV 46F8090 (here at the sound options the speaker settings to "receiver" change). A normal HDMI cable goes from the Soundbar in my Panasonic BluRay BCT 721st So the Soundbar is automatically switched on and off (which in 7 of 10 cases works (Stand 02.06.2014)) and the volume can be controlled with the remote controls of TV and BluRay. The supplied remote control is needed only for advanced features, which is rare, as the last settings are saved. Between switching on the TV / BluRay pass about 5 seconds until the subwoofer is connected via radio, thus complies with the requirements in the manual.
For sound: The possibilities for direct recruitment via equalizer there is not unfortunately. The prefabricated modes "Music, News, Drama, Cinema, Sport, Games" differ partially, but not too much. The 3D Sorround modes Music and Movie bring the sound a bit more volume of a space but can really be no question. A true stereo effect can not be expected.
The TV sound is markedly improved in any case, what was actually also not difficult to expect and. I have DVDs / BluRays looked at and tested passages with and without Soundbar (goes on the remote control with a key and a short delay). It's amazing what one has not previously heard anything or like a James Bond movie sounds now. In this respect, I am very satisfied. The Bluetooth connection to my Galaxy Note 2 and the iPhone 4S my wife works great, with the Radio App I can mothball the Mini plant and need in my 25 square meter living room no more stereo. A Sonos Playbar was me also too big, even if the sounds are probably better. But as I said - claim and Budget.
All in all a good buy if you are not comparing apples and oranges, and the full-bodied advertising slogans that into perspective quickly, not taking too seriously and crooked.
