Cybex confuses the buyer by the very terms of seats. Here is an explanation (hope that's all true):
* The addition of "fix" says the seat has Isofix connector. However, it can still be fixed with straps.
* If I have understood correctly, then the M-fix is the successor to the X2-fix. Then there's the Q2-fix, which has a wider back, but comes in Tests away not so good.
* The Pallas series of Cybex are group 1/2/3 seats that transform to grow out in the group 1 by conversion into a group 2/3 seat. So a Pallas M-fix after conversion to M-fix Solution. And so on.
The seat looks really good and is according to a statement of my Junior "very comfortable". The Posterung (we do not have the "Plus" version with thicker material) is made beautiful, soft and looks resilient. Peeling is also relatively simple. The headrest is adjustable and prevents that the head while sleeping forward bagged (if you have chosen the correct position before falling asleep ;-))
Cybex has lateral support compared to the X2-fix verbessert- now there are left and right beautiful high cushion that still support the sides even at far high back fief well. Furthermore, the pad no longer overlap so stupid as the X2-fix on the back. The junior has always criticized. And the third improvement I feel the fold at the touch side impact protection pads. When predecessors they had to be clipped. Ultimately, the seat now has a passive ventilation. We'll see in the summer, how well this works.
The seat is almost self-explanatory and very easy to install with the Isofix system. It is surprisingly light. But a rest position as the "Pallas" he has not, that is only possible in group 1 seats, not in group 2/3 seats. The child does not mind.
Buckle is very straightforward and can be done quickly. The belt guide is simple and robust. Also it has a hook on the shoulder belt, the belt so that the child can not just slough off. This is solved very clever.
All in all I am very satisfied with the purchase. Hope keeps the seat for many years.
