I reserve the SAM 18135 and returned the SAL16105 again.
The following reasons were decisive because the optical performance was almost identical (with auto correction):
- Price-performance better
- Lighter (noticeably lighter, but still good workmanship
- Zoomlock (but is not necessary because there is no creeping me existed)
- SAM instead SAL: no bars but SA-Motor -> much quieter
- I also found the exchange of zoom and focus-ring also pleasant. In a travel lens to adjust the focal length is more than focusiern manually.
- Direct Auto Focus (switch not necessary) is also great. I know him as well as from other manufacturers and have learned to love there
- More focal length but no "soup Zoom"
There are disadvantages as always (but you can get over):
- No Enfernungsangabe
- Weak light (but in this version OK), which is comparable 16105
- From 100 Focal length of the AF trembles now and again
(Remove the lens hood and then it's OK) shadow due to the lens hood with the camera flash -
Conclusion:
Always great plan. I can only recommend especially for cameras with lens correction
