First of all the question: Why did I chose this TV?
After I moved out I was my old Philips 32 inch LCD TV too small. So I went in search for a new and especially larger TV. My focus in the search was mainly on Philips and Samsung devices, I should habe.Ebenso made with these always good experiences of the television frame of 600 do not exceed. At first I LG products basically skipped due to testimonials my relatives ("LG products were not of high quality"). Ultimately, I was but then convinced of the facilities and the other positive reviews and decided to go for this device, which I do not regret a second.
The construction and the design:
The construction lasted maybe 5 minutes (8 screws and screw finished). Only the large base led to a small re-planning of Platzierung.Der TV itself looks in white / silver very chic and high quality. I also could not detect any flaws or the like. Although the display reflects, but I at least do not find it so extremely, if not directly the window has in the back. The remote control is relatively small and light, what I find enjoyable.
The Image:
Compared to various Samsung and Philips devices in this price range is the image with the best. Both SD and HD programs simply look great and can be tailored to your needs thanks to countless picture settings. The colors are saturated in my opinion, not too bright, but so nice and as it should be (as has been said by many picture options, everything can be adjusted). The quality of Blu-ray movies and standard DVD's is really class. Nothing shakes or moves to (only a minimal "ringing", ie. A "blur frame" to people with fast movements must be determined and a minimal "Flash Light" in the upper right corner).
The internal triple tuner:
Although I run an external satellite Reveiver from Humax, but the internal receiver is forced to hide under any circumstances. The switching times are really ok (the Humax is not running noticeably faster). Likewise, the image and reception quality is good to very good.
The Sound:
The one with an LED TV, which is just about 2 cm thick, can not expect a 5.1 sound with 1000 watts should be obvious. But I was still surprised at how tired and clearly is the sound of this unit. Only when the volume is almost completely turned you realize that the sound seems a bit tinny. In normal "low volume" I find the tone but compared to other devices not only acceptable, but good.
The 3D function:
I really have to say that I have seen only a few TVs that have such an impressively good picture quality in 3D mode. Nothing is flickering, no ghosting and no blurred images. Even the 2D to 3D conversion results in a clearly visible effect! Also, the fact that 4 (!) Are 3D glasses during this delivery, unbeatable. Therefore, it is possible overall to say: great!
The Smart TV function:
The Wi-Fi connection to check easily and easy to set up. The menus, apps and functions are clearly arranged and start quite quickly (have a 50.000 line)
The connections:
The TV has 4 HDMI ports, as well as a CI slot, 3 USB ports, a LAN port and several sound Eingans- output terminals (I'm sorry, I know the order is not good, therefore simply times View the data sheet). Thus, the connections run extremely lush.
Errors:
I had read in a review that the remote control has no "Settings button" and you therefore always have to run to the TV set if you want to make, for example, more accurate picture settings. This statement is not entirely true. Yes, there is no dedicated button for the settings, but you have to just press the "Home" key and then select the "Settings" button and bang you are in the desired menu :-). "Run to the TV" The constant thus is not necessary!
Per
+ Super image in SD and HD
+ Many connections
+ High-quality design
+ Below 600
+ Many options
+ Super 3D experience
Neutral
+ - Acceptable to good sound
+ - Rather broad base
Contra
- Display reflects clearly (not to light questions)
- From time to minimal "ringing" (!)
- Small flashlight in the upper right corner
In summary:
The LG 42LM649S not only looks stylish but also has a great picture, an acceptable to good sound and a stunning 3D experience. The minimum flaw should not deter one, as these occur with virtually any device in this price class. Even when compared with more than 1,000 expensive Panasonic LED TV (possessed my father), this TV does not have to hide, on the contrary. The LG offers here even partially a better picture. So we can say that you will hardly find a better TV than 600.
