- Good value for money and for the price range and good resolution decent display (all under 800x480, and thus the most brand mobile phones in this low-cost price range in my opinion totally useless with Android, here the Archos can score)
- Everything in there and turn what a low-cost Android so you must
- Pleasant, nicely rounded and handy case, the ME-quality looks as you would expect, good feel and pleasant keys
- Dual-SIM may be practical now and then - in the holiday season abroad I can do well, because then the Maxroam card is used and you do not always back and forth SIM cards must - apparently even gleichzeitger operation is possible, because the mobile phone has two IMEIs - super!
Here is the little shadow which are visible after one day operation:
- Every now and then I made a few not quite as fluid as the powerful little box. There must also be something pressed twice until a reaction occurs. But do not misunderstand - 99% of the time you realize little of the schwachbrüstigeren Equipment
- While all higher cell phones already use standard SIM Slots Micro-SIM. Fortunately is at least one Micro to standard adapter in the package in case a "downgrade" is called for, as was the case with me
- Automatic brightness control of the display runs at Halogen Tungsten Amok, ie changes in the quarter-second intervals the brightness, ie manual brightness switch
- The WLAN sensitivity seems subjectively to be at the level of the better mobile phones
- The main camera is sufficient, that is moderate, especially the color rendering rather fanciful. The front camera seems to be subjectively insufficient. No übermäsige surprise in this price range but definitely room for improvement for Archos
- The Google Search widget can not wegkonfigurieren (did not know right away anyway where, trash denied it!) And eating on all menu pages up unnecessary space (!) - What is this nonsense? Google pays 50 cents Advertising fee for such rubbish? But even with HTC and Samsung has seen similar "over-engineering" - the "roundest" seems to me so far Sony customize the software - which can be seen there on small details, such as that on long-U is a UE as a standard, which mE is needed more frequently, on the other hand comes the Archos as with many manufacturers a "7" and for the Ü one must then rumwischi-wash.
That the "back button" Samsungisch is right and not Sony / HTC-ish left, is more of a problem Google - Google is probably too noble to force the manufacturers even the most minimal standards on hardware side ... well, at such mishmash will remain the laughing third party and on a universal Android dock we will wait forever Apple.
So, long story short: a solid, affordable entry-level mobile phone with just a few, not very disturbing quirks and a fairly good display. Software default, there is still little things better match - because the "big" names differ regularly (but not always) a bit of Archos. But since you already have to accept restrictions in this price class: 4 of 5 stars.
