Processing and technical equipment 4/5 stars
The unit is very well made, one has the impression of holding a solid bolt in hand, nothing wobbles or threatens to dissolve. The glass of the touch screen is very little susceptible to dirt. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired and left. Only the permanently installed battery is a downer that causes me to deduct a star.
Operability 4/5 stars
The facility is due to assistant slight of hand, and individual settings are here already approved. Operation of the Windows Phone 8X designed initially quite unintuitive, so it took me quite a long initially (without looking at the manual) before I could make the first phone call. However, over time you get used to the operating philosophy of Windows Phone 8. Then also the logic of the menus and settings opens.
Camera features 5/5 stars
The cameras of the WP 8X provide results that can be seen for cell phone cameras in every case. The technical data can expect a lot, these expectations will not be disappointed. Only the zoom works systemic (it is a digital zoom, which in the flat design does not permit otherwise is) not very good. The video recording exceeds with 1080p resolution but again all expectations. Because of lack of optical zoom can be expected here, I will give for the camera functions still full 5 stars.
Playback Functions 5/5 stars
I could not understand negative reviews when it comes to sound quality. Playback is good with the built-in speakers. If, turned the supplied stereo headset and has beats, then you have a very good sound (Beats Audio lifts ups and downs, similar to a loudness adjustment). If, then even a closed headphone system that is designed for audio playback, then left nothing to be desired for me.
The video playback is thanks to HD resolution of 720p on the 4,3Zoll display also very detailed, and provides a nice contrast and a good color reproduction. So you can clearly see the details on the smartphone screen.
Phone Features 5/5 stars
Did you first figured out how you can make calls, the sound quality is better during the call, as I have known it so far. Also out of the moving car hardly any noise or noise were transferred. I had sometimes creep into the handset to be able to understand my interlocutor with my Nokia 5800, so succeed with the Windows Phone 8X by HTC readily. The reception sensitivity is good or very good, I had in any situation no reception, in which I would have had it with other mobile phones. Also, I could not detect any major impact of the way, as I hold the phone to the reception characteristics.
In conclusion, I can only say that I think the Windows Phone 8X for recommended. Therefore, I also give in spite of the aforementioned criticisms full 5 stars as a final evaluation.
