This is now my third Blu Ray Player. Previously, I had an LG BP 420. This had some DVDs an extremely loud drive noise, which was also the reason to buy a new device. The Sony BDP S 4100, however, is very low. Reports from previous reviews, about loud noises I can not confirm.

The image quality leaves nothing to be desired wünchen. I feel the whole image to be very pleasant. Razor sharp and natural colors. Compared to the LG 420 is a clear improvement. The navigation in the menu and also the loading of Blu Ray and DVD is pleasantly smooth.
Playing MKV`S is not a problem. Even files over 10GB making trouble the device.

Considered negative is the lack of optical connection. Since Sony has saved. Had my order separately a coaxial audio cable for my home theater system. This connector is present. For owners of even older home theater systems - Analogue audio outputs are completely absent.

The Quälität the sound reproduction is against super. Powerful, highly detailed sound. Since there is nothing to complain about.
