What Ramin Djawadi has reproduced here by himself, showing his class. The difference is noticeable to Season 3. Was he at this time with two plants simultaneously employed (Pacific and Game), he has here his full concentration on the game. Musically we hear for what felt like the umpteenth time the Lannisters anthem, but each time in different variants.
Unforgettable is here "Two Swords", which depicts the decline of the Starks in the very first scene of the fourth season and the music in a kind of collaboration "Kill Them All" (known from Season 1). Superbly implemented. What is shown, however tragic, is the song "You are no son of mine". Book readers know in what context it is meant and series gazers will find it soon. There, the song is not shown for the first time in as usual triumph but in an eerie kind (see series). That was really very well done by Djawadi.
But how it looks with the other songs?
There are again increasingly represented newer tunes, on the contrary to Season 3. "Breaker of Chains" again shows the potential of the song while listening to what's in Djawadi and 'Thenns "and" Let's Kill Some Crows "pieces that sound massive and something sound of Hans Zimmer (however Djawadis kind). "First of His Name" is actually perceived in the series as a positive piece, but changes in the last 30 seconds, where every fan has a very specific scene in your mind.
The other pieces have also been produced at a high level and to recommend without hesitation. "The Children" I was expecting a bit darker in person and not as a sort of Game of Thrones anthem in chorus as Mhysa. But the latter is a subjective sensation.
All in all, this work will rise again recognized that lacked the last work (felt). The Season 4 was the strongest season of all and Ramin Djawadi has again contributed a lot of his music to the fact that the game remains one of the most successful series of HBO and on American television.
Chapeau!
