Like many others have, even I, the debut of James Bay eagerly awaited. For a long time I watch the bustle of the young man and, previously published, EPs were all really strong. So now the album. This starts with Craving also very promising, a groovy song with a bit rougher vocals fits. Immediately afterwards comes the, quite rightly celebrated, Hold Back The River. About this song do not need much to write a catchy tune that pops right into my ear. The only drawback, soon you will be the song probably will not be able to hear the format radio play this all day up and down. This places but, of course, no criticism of James is, the song has earned a lot of people to reach.
In third place is followed, Let It Go, which had James already published as EP and my personal, favorite song is. That's singer / songwriter music in its purest form. Very, very strong.
Outliers down there but also. First up is because "If You Ever been in Love", which comes across arg pleasing and somehow not even want to ignite right. But this is, after such a strong start not so bad and the song is also bound to find his friends.
All in all, James Bay provides a really good debut from that mix of singer / songwriter, folk, pop and rock is very well done and is a lot of music lovers of all kinds inspire.
