This cable is ideal for external hard drives in order to have them lie without unnecessary clutter, next to the laptop. Looks much better than with long cable and works great. The prerequisite is of course that you have a laptop, in which a single USB connection for the power supply is sufficient, because you would otherwise need a USB Y-cable with 2 ports.
I also also ordered the 15 cm from the same manufacturer cable. I think that looks even better, but it is with the 30 cm cable, of course a bit more flexible. So is a matter of taste.
