I will not repeat previous comments: this NAS is very powerful and opens significant opportunities. But it is against a little too noisy, hence the star less. If you have less than 2 m in a quiet environment, you will hear, even in suspend mode (the fan is running slower but it still is). So, like many, I replaced the original fan Noctua NF by B9 (92 x 92 x 25 mm) and now it is very quiet! There remains the problem of the guarantee, but apparently Synology sends fans in case of failure or binding to its customers under warranty so ... you see.
