In direct comparison, definitely brighter. Did the already observed in other Philips LED lamps. The lighting of the room is very good. To a normal light bulb is there almost no difference. Possibly back has a light bulb more light ... but is that necessarily important? For light color I can only say: pleasant! Perhaps not quite as a standard bulb but also no energy-saving light. Actually, it adapts to the space in which it is used. The color of the walls and the floor doing very much. With earthy tones, the light acts warmer and blue tones for example, it appears then rather cool, because the light is indeed reflected by the furniture, walls, tiles, etc. again. The lamp was installed in two bathrooms and there is almost indistinguishable due to the space coloring of a normal halogen. Did they also built in a hood and even there it is working fine. There were previously this 25 Watt Funzeln there that are actually just warm, wear out quickly and save mainly to an ordinary light. Now comes as properly usable light out. If this LED lights are now holding a few more years, you can be more than satisfied. To me they are definitely a very good alternative !!!
