For those who do not know ... the S5 must be prepared only for induction. There is also here at Amazon possibilities for. Since I did not want domed shell on the back, as described by reviewers of the cheaper products, I signed up for the roughly 20 EUR expensive original cover of Samsung (Samsung EP-CG900IWEGWW battery cover for the inductive (wireless) charging for Samsung Galaxy S5 white ) decided. This has on the envelope inside of a built-in magnet, which rests in the closed position directly to the battery and makes the induction as possible. But beware .. if you use this induction prepared cases, the Samsung does not fit due to the thicker back in the cell phone cases, in which you can push in the phone (for example as with the Flip Cases).
The charging station is in the inner circle and the outer ring (probably) made of acrylic glass and the middle ring is the holding of a rubber cell phone in situ, so it can not easily slip away.
The station has at one point below the rim of the glass a blue LED that lights up as long as the phone is charging.
I imagine that the induction charging is a bit slower as with cable, but that does not bother me.
3 disadvantages:
1. Here it is no cable and no power supply in the charging station included. I find even outrageous at a premium price of 35 EUR. I find the whole package for an extra charge possibility to get very expensive: EUR 20 for the envelope, EUR 35 for the charging station plus 7 EUR power supply and cable makes around 60 EUR !!!!
2. The phone fits - as mentioned above - in no Flipcases and Hardcases more. Only in silicone sleeves and bags.
3. The mobile phone reports several times a day that the back cover is not in place firmly. Thus, the sensors report the induction Qualifying envelope wrong. It's frustrating !!!
Once it happened to me that I have the phone is not exactly centrally placed on the charging station ... at night the phone was not charged. Now I look at the laying always out whether the induction charging is reported (coming immediately after hanging up).
I would buy it anyway again because it looks lovely and so convenient is .. just hang up cell phone and even invites it.
