The new memory is automatically recognized by the MacBook right away. The system is working properly under Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard), Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and OS X 10.9.4 (Mavericks).
By upgrading a noticeable speed increase has occurred particularly in office Anwendungungen as hoped. Obviously, much of the newly acquired memory for the file cache is used, the file access speeds gratifying and relieving the hard drive and battery. The slow retrieval of memory into the swap file, however now no longer occurs at ordinary use.
