The film could be attached to some extent, although unfortunately there is no grid as an aid. This gives the film but does not sit 100% strength.

Unfortunately, the film is very prone to fingerprints and so resulting oily film is very difficult to remove also. I am now switched to films of atFoliX, which are significantly better.
