I use this cable to transmit music from my ADSL box (Freebox) to the amplifier. This allows wireless streaming (AirPlay) via a smartphone or tablet. The quality is much higher than that of the cable I had previously acquired for a price 5 times lower. Do not expect however to an exceptional hi-fi but it does the job!
