very unbalanced sound

I have the CX 300 II as a replacement for my old CX 300 with whom I was actually quite pleased. They had one for the low price unusually uniform, present sound and well seated in the ear. Unfortunately, they have gone to me broken, which is why I have allowed myself the further development in good faith.

Maybe I as a sound engineer to high demands on sound reproduction have, but I felt the sound as a significant deterioration in the previous model. By apparently desired by many massive gain in the bass enters the area of ​​the lower middle, where the basic sounds of the human voice are, or even guitar, for example, into the background. Only the high-frequency range has been re-brightened considerably in order to achieve what is so understood as "brilliance". Thus, a frequency response results with a very deep belly in the middle, which makes the headset for me without further adjustment by an upstream EQ (eg iPod "Less bass") unwatchable. That shows me again two things:

1. clean sound just not there (More) on the cheap and
2. Anyone who wants to set seriously good headphones can not help but to test things on site with music that has been heard many times and can appreciate well. Reviews can greatly deceived.

Conclusion: Buy recommendation for all those fat basses a grin on your face, which the rest does not matter, as long as it rumst tidy. All that and something else to hear except electric and hip hop (where the adulteration makes the least), perhaps even classical music - stay away or at least listen before!
