An extended warranty which is expensive and I do not buy normal but I believe very helpful to use a Zen Kindle. Indeed previous generations of Kindle have shown the screen reliability problem, which often lasts only 1-2 years. For details, see Youtube "Kindle screen broken." My Kindle 3 only lasted 19 months, but to be honest this problem could be common to other brands other reading lights all use the same technology produced (I think) by the same manufacturer. However, I have not found similar videos on Youtube of other brands model. It can be also motivated by their minor publicity, and the fact that they use slightly different and less modern screens (background "gray" rather than white as the Kindle). These products should be more reliable (such as a computer, for example) without paying surcharges, but being expensive especially with some accessories, if you are regular readers I would recommend this product.
