I'll tell you just why.
You may already know ...
It is a Wii Remote Plus -> ie the handle of 2nd generation.
It therefore includes the Wii motions + ..
Other controllers are Wii -> 1st generation thus without Wii motions.
The motions wii + = More accuracy and also access to other games (some games actually require the presence of the Wii motion)
If you combined a Wii Remote + Wii more higher price than one motion
Ps: there is a rubber cases offered, which was a good discovery
