Formerly sold under the same name Bestmedia blanks by Ricoh with the Media Code RICOHJPNR02. These blanks were excellent and the Platinum DVD + R received rightfully good marks in tests. But now sold Bestmedia look-alike of Ritek blanks with the Media Code RITEK R03. These blanks have no consistent quality and are poorly finished (the critical edge paint is very uneven). Bestmedia advertises the new blanks but with the test results of the old blanks. That is dishonest. On my burner BenQ 1620, the blank achieved an average error rate of 1.3 PIF and PI error rate of 50-150. These are very mediocre results. With my LG 4120B burner I achieve namely 2/3 of the blanks very good firing results (PIF the average score below 0.1, PI-average 5-20. Approximately one-third of the blanks, the PI / PIF scan results, however, are quite catastrophic and there often occur even PO error. Of these untrusted blanks should stay away and instead buy the original Ricoh blanks on Amazon.
