Writing a line, original story, researched and documented, suspense that keeps you going ... Great success in a genre yet hackneyed, with the now traditional sadistic murders (not to be put under all eyes) and the cops vulnerable by their personal history and the horrors they are not accustomed.
I feared at one time that schizophrenia is the main character in an element too, which would weaken the novel by making it less credible. But Thilliez avoids this danger and manages to interest us in his unfortunate hero. More embarrassing, some descriptions still seem a little "boat" and weigh down some passages.
But since I did not let this book before the end and despite some reservations, I recommend it and I'll go this step, check out the rest of his production.
