Welcome to the world of shadows!

Contrast (computer game)

Customer Review

It is the year 1920. The small Didi has a great imagination and calls an imaginary friend named Dawn for real. Her parents are constantly quarreling in the ears and Didi tries to be the paste, which solves all problems. Here Dawn stands at her side.

In a 2D / 3D world, players assume the role of Dawn, which converts between the local and the shadow world. Thus Compulsion Games could create a great puzzle game with a great atmosphere.

Come and see the amazing Vincenzo!

The player starts at the point into the game, after three weeks returned to the Dawn back to Didi. Didi wants to see the appearance of her mother in the Ghost Note and from there to the events and the issues to be resolved on strike.

The puzzles are made in contrast some very smart and funny, some of them have, however, also irritates me. There is a mystery to which I have hung a long time since I did not know that it apparently does not belong to the main puzzle. After I have the game now but played through once, I would like to dare again also to this conundrum.

But what seems most familiar in this world of shadows, could be dangerous.

It is controlled on a PC using the keyboard, alternatively via an Xbox controller. I personally like to play better with controllers a lot, unfortunately, sometimes I however had more finesse with the keyboard, so I have changed in between every now and then.
The speech is available in English and French, but there are German subtitles for those who can not understand the spoken.
In the game itself, there are several balls of light that are partly required to operate the electronic device. These devices unlock each mystery. The game, however, is designed so that all the balls have never collected.

Basically it is in contrast to an entertaining pleasure with a sweet story and stunning graphics. For the short game of 4 hours I would definitely recommend this game. Only the player should not get caught, because soon he must leave the world of shadows again ...
