I found that the text could be structured more clearly. The chapters are dedicated to the male costume, female, child, with the caps, accessories. But in each chapter I had a little trouble following what corner did what during which decade. It seemed as dates and places corresponding to certain styles and clothes could better structure within chapters. But that's just one caveat.
