Well suited for listening to music ... but nothing more.

During normal television can at best a small improvement to my LED TV from Philips notice. Movies are at normal room volume rarely bother to look because you hardly understands despite "Clear Voice" some of the conversations. By increasing the volume, you will be purged of the sound effects downright of bed. So more suitable for a Homekino- / multimedia / hobby room, but again far too weak and no match for an admittedly expensive system 5.1.
Music (via DVD) sounds good, although one would expect from the built-in subwoofer any miracles.

Negative remain the missing HDMI port and not the supplied optical cable to mention.
