As usual I devoured this story in one day (I have the time) and I moderate a little the enthusiasm that emanates from the previous comment. While the plot is cleverly orchestrated but I can not say that the outcome stunned me, I can even admit that I had guessed as any other conclusion would have been disappointing. The psychology of secondary characters whose existence is essential to explain the sequence of events, deserved to be expanded. Conversely scenes reflecting the confusion of some patients, repeated monologues Mother Monster does not add much and that is unfortunate. The author could have further develop these psychoses to better cover their tracks. The world of this mental hospital inspires no fear as he is the theater where the play macabre representations. As for Caffery, beset by uncertainty and indecision, its role is very limited. His concerns arising from previous novel Mo Hayder overlap with the main story, only the disappearance of a young woman came four years ago established a vague connection between the two cases. Those who hope to find so Caffery orders will be disappointed. As for writing I have no complaints, fluid and rhythmic at once. Congratulations to the manager of the translation.
