The Xs-Drive has a versatile card reader, an external USB drive (2.0) and can copy a card to the internal hard disk easily.
Some notes on the device:
- When you start is "3:24" appears briefly - perhaps the firmware?
- Partitioning with the tool "Fat32Formatter.exe" works, but both antivirus software and the function "automatic media playback" I had to switch off, otherwise various error messages came.
- The supplier Digitalix24 sent in advance a revised handbook - which is true for a similar device (keys are elsewhere), but fits well and is very helpful.
- Battery: The does not last long, after the power supply has 10GB ran, but a few copies on the go, it is sufficient, the evening is then copied using the AC adapter.
- Is always copied the whole map - no differences.
- The display shows max. 999 copied files - there are but copies all files.
- If the device "OK" displays, with me everything was always copied without error.
- With SD card to prevent the accidental erasure of the unit by mini switch on the card. But I use the laptop etc. to the card to protect.
- Well, I think that there is no function to remove the internal hard drive on the device.
Conclusion: For me, this device is a good supplement for holidays, for which I will take a little more computing devices. Still ... see first paragraph.
Battery: This is for my tests a weakness of the device. Power supply, charging electronics and battery appear to be matched do not well coordinated. Either the battery loaded endlessly (and warm) without the small charging indicator comes to rest. Or he is too short charged (though the battery indicator comes to rest). Sometimes it will come correct.
If ales works, then creating the battery with me 3x SD card with 4.5GB copy - nothing more. Connected to the power supply copying works flawlessly.
