What makes it is excellent

I switched from TomTom 1015 the TomTom 5000. Certainly, the technical functionality is substantially less than in the TT1015. Nevertheless, the basic functions are useful improved so that the navigation with the TT500 easy even more fun and the menu if you have these internalized times, much more compact and thus better serve is.

Let's see what features a new firmware still brings. Would be desirable, for example:

- Geschwindigkeistabhängige volume control (when available TT1015)
- Signal when the speed limit is exceeded (when available TT1015)

A current problem is nevertheless since 24/10/2013: launched using locally installed software MyTomTom online software in the browser to update, so this is now no longer refers to the familiar MyTomTom software / side but on the new MyDrive. This unfortunately does not run under Windows 8.1 per 64bit., Ie after logging obtained only displayed a rotating circle. Enabling compatibility mode in IE11 was no help.
Is probably currently still a problem with the IE11, which is with Windows 8.1 shipped. Lt. Statements in forums to this but with a different browser (eg Chrome) go.
Nevertheless is not OK, because I want to work with the IE11. We'll see when the problem is solved by TomTom. Until then, I can thus thus make any updates, which went before the release of MyDrive.
