"The use of weapons." The title itself is a feast of complexity and details on the nature of the novel. Iain Banks tells the story of a secret agent at the service of Culture. The story is excellently constructed in parallel history "real time" of the hero, and past it. Zakalwe is a hero rather disconcerting as it is unpredictable but which one attaches very profound way. This book also brings elements of understanding of the intricacies of the operation of Culture. Do not spoil the ending for me was totally unexpected.
