Whenever it has to be extra fine, the first choice!

In my shredder the lid had a little jump. After the first use, then a small piece has come off and is aborted. Phone I had phoned Unold and almost a week later I had a new cover in the mail. Nowadays individual spare parts are no more and often the whole unit must be changed for granted. For the environment clearly a profit.

I'll get the chopper actually always out when I really need it very finely. So far I have been able to achieve similar results with only the Thermomix by Vorwerk.

Icing sugar can be produced, for example, easily yourself! Even if I want to grind seeds such as poppy seeds or nuts very finely, then the crusher is the first choice. For later consistency of pastry, it does make a difference whether you're working with semolina or flour. Especially with mass produced with an opened egg white or egg yolk, is a fine consistency beneficial.

Of course there are a lot of shredders on the market which have a greater capacity, but I still not run across that dry food can grind so fine.

A very nice thing is that the manufacture of spice blends. Spices keep throughout state simply much longer and thus keep their flavor even better, because the essential oils can leak heavy and therefore are not as prone to rancidity. Small amounts of the same one used can be selected individually and then grind in the grinder to the desired fineness.

When it comes to fresh herbs or onions, but then I can only suggest this quite normal to cut with the knife. The shredder just makes out of it only a puree. Everything hangs on the edge has repeatedly shake again where the knife will be placed are on the floor. This, however, is the already crushed pieces, further crushed and at the end is then stop the puree. ;)

By enclosed in the ground rubber ring, the shredder is secure on the work surface and does not slide away.

If you can call his own, no equipment kitchen appliance a la "Thermomix", then the ESGE shredder is the first choice.
He is nice and compact and can be if it is not needed, simply hide in the closet.
Due to the low height it can be cleaned also wonderful.

what I like:

- Really grinds extremely fine (powdered sugar)
- Very compact
- Easy to clean
- Does not slip away, by enclosed rubber ring

I do not like:

- Might have something more capacity
