When comparing to the Lumix FZ200 models or FZ1000 I can say the following: All 3 cameras I have after I tests with these cameras have occupied me a long time, tested alone. Qualitatively best is of course the FZ1000 - without question, but I needed a camera which, as already mentioned, should have a very large wide angle. For my needs (projection of Digifotos a 16: 9 Full HD projector on a ca 5qm big screen looking at the pictures of 3m) nothing to be desired. The 16MP are far more than adequate (less would have been more because of the noise that absolutely holds due to the new developed Venus Engine but within limits), even for enlargements, as long as it does not concern extreme Verößerungen. The Einstellmöglicheiten the camera are more than varied and there is for the ordinary photographer no desire left. The digital zoom should not use, because then as photo in the resolution poor. But who needs a telephoto with more than the offered optical 1200mm? This camera can achieve useful photos of fully automatic both beginners and the more advanced photographer has the ability to adjust everything by hand. I am completely happy with this camera.
For the sharpness fanatics I definitely recommend the FZ1000, who desperately wants to have a fold-out display or a continuous light intensity 2.8 the FZ200, but otherwise the FZ72 is preferable because of the mega zoom. The price / performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable in the FZ72. They offered cheaper than the comparable Samsung digicam and is even better.
After buying this camera, I realized how many settings and programs are available at the camera. In addition I also recommend the Lumix FZ72 book that inspired me. It is presented very clearly, contains some pictures that make the descriptions more descriptive and is very informative. The operating instructions of the FZ72 is not as detailed, and certainly not visually represented so well.
