The most positive I was surprised by the chilly lasting handles. Anyway, I took in six months not even use a potholder, even though a pot to 3/4 filled with food to be cooked and 60 minutes was boiled. Since it does not need all this plastic nonsense, especially as this eventually becomes more porous.
The complete Edeltahl version is designed for long durability. No glass lid that burst on the tile floor and no plastic parts that dissolve or crumble sometime.
A slight bluish discoloration at the base of the pan for preparation of certain foods is absolutely normal for stainless steel pots. Anyway, I do not know of stainless steel kitchen utensils, which they do not occasionally show. But the other hand help home remedies (such as vinegar, citric acid, stainless steel care).
To this end, another tip: As long as it comes, do not use abrasive cleaners. So scouring pads with corundum or similar proportions (mostly green scouring side that act like sandpaper) and abrasive powders or use like. Use either cleaning sponges on plastic base (usually blue or white "abrasive side") or stainless steel wool or stainless steel cleaner. The latter received the original surface and add no deeper scratches where parboiled would adhere particularly well.
From the handles can continue to run some water after flushing (by hand or machine). This may seem in light error of stainless steel used (composition of the steel) to explain the occurrence of slight rust, as described in a previous review. There should, however, be easily removable and no longer tracks also occur after some time. In my pots in any case so far occurred no rust.
Something small dimensions, I find the relief hole in the lid. It served its purpose, but the cooking of eg noodles or potatoes is injected with the lid on there a little like a geyser, when the water vapor condenses there and emerges from the bottom through the cooking additional water vapor.
Also not quite as nice: The pots are unsure stackable even with the lid on upside down. This you have to but probably suffered in order not to compromise the overriding practical functions.
The cover is quite heavy. It is advantageous because it does not so easily rattles when cooking. However, he does not rule as a "press fit", but is fairly accurate to (thinks: in another pot in my household, the lid would not come off even upside down, but must be deducted).
The rest of the operation is in terms of the pot base (absolutely flat, fast heating with no bulge) optimally, pouring over the rim of the pot succeeds largely spills freely.
Conclusion:
I'm with the pots so pleased that I will by the WMF gourmet series replace bit by bit my old pots (except for cabbage rolls, pork knuckle and Christmas goose: here are in my opinion the good old enameled steel pots and -bräter the best) ,
Addendum of 18/01/2015:
Even today, well over a year after the purchase I can my review from March 2014 to add anything negative. Neither optical nor functional defects have occurred in frequent daily use.
