One vornweg. Sonically the Loewe whole can convince like no other BT speakers, particularly since it also brings the average frequency ranges very good effect, which would appear bulky and quite balanced sound.
Actually, I would therefore keep the Loewe very much, he still represents a good compromise between very deep heavy devices such as the Bose SoundLink III or rather height accented speakers like the Sony SRS-5X is, both well-liked in itself to me, but where - depending on the music style - can come to feel there is something missing in the upper sound range (Bose), or in the center (Sony).
Unfortunately, however, two very annoying characteristics I noticed at Loewe, which has unfortunately been confirmed in a new experiment with a replacement unit.
As a player, a Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 830 stand, a Google Nexus 5 with Android and iOS device in the form of an iPad Air. All units are equipped with the current software version of WP 8.1, Android 5.0 and iOS 8.1.1 - and my knowledge for all work based on the Bluetooth 4.0 standard.
Decisive weakness of the Loewe (and so in the form I that far yet in no other BT speakers experienced), the Bluetooth connection is not stable. With the two smart phones, there is more or less frequent interruptions. The Loewe loses then complete the connection and after a short time trying to pair it again.
At first I thought it is probably because of a weak battery, but also fully charged shows no improvement. Sometimes the connection is half an hour at a time stable, sometimes the misfire occur but in a 2 minute intervals on. This is an absolute no-go for a BT speakers. Because the sound can still be as good. It should be noted to the fact that often are playback devices and speakers in the same room, directly within immediate reach. Because it can not be so also. The iPad maintains the connection more stable, but also so that there are occasional crashes.
The greater stability of the BT-iPad is, however, made by another shortcoming naught. With a mobile Apple device coupled accepts this in Loewe largely control of volume, that is, the entire volume range is covered in 15 stages. Sounds now first not dramatic, can be incredibly annoying in reality but, as the Loewe has a high maximum volume and therefore fail the cracks between the steps very clearly. Especially in quieter environments is stressful because the speakers may be at level 2 of 15 already too loud then already.
About Windows Phone and Android, the gradation is much finer possible, because you can set the default volume on the speaker directly and may then vote on the phones in small intermediate steps up or down, without changing the setting on the speakers.
Bottom line, I can Loewe as BT speakers not recommend.
The suspicion is natural that in the device there is an error. In particular, therefore, because in other reviews and tests should be read from the connection problem rarely.
