Amin Maalouf in this extraordinary book helps us understand the real meaning of identity. Myself Algerian came to France for my studies and wish to remain there to work and live there, I find myself in his example, in the back of his mind and especially in the clarity of his remarks. each is different from the other, we do our experiences of our cultures in our education, but especially of ourselves ... no one will be able to reproach me from where I come from or where I'm going, no one can help but to be Algerian, Kabyle, Muslim and proud of my integration into French culture ... why because it's what make me who I am today ... thank you for this talented author and I highly recommend this book.
