"Ducere Me In Lucem": The perfect opener, staged not a bit boring and the vocals is economical but perfectly despite its length. The keyboards have some Nightwish feeling, which is entirely to it as a compliment, as these are the reference band in terms of bombast.
"Seven Widows Weep": The first single from the album, which also includes a video was shot, which was the reason to buy this album. The song combines all the strengths of the new album - hard, catchy riffs, an interesting song structure, vocal duels between Morten and Ailyn, much chorus and a catchy chorus.
"My Destiny Coming To Pass": A very catchy song, but without in any way be cheesy as it is on the previous albums often times failed. One of my big favorites on the album, the chorus is preparing with really goosebumps. Ailyns voice here is as strong as ever.
"Ditt Endelikt": The most interesting and versatile song on the album, here you will find almost exclusively clean Norwegian vocals of guest singer "Joakim Næss', which does its job one hundred percent and the song gives a very special atmosphere. In the second half, there are still electronic sounds and whispering vocals of Spanish Ailyn which integrate perfectly into the song.
"Cold Caress": There is a whole load choral bombast, to an unusual vocal line of Ailyn again. Especially quiet section followed to the end of the song of a turn very hard part should be particularly emphasized here by the built contrast.
"Darkling": A very dark song with a good combination of the vocals of Morten and Ailyn. Clearly goes towards "old Sirenia", at times her first two albums.
"Decadence": Here, the use of electronic elements is deliberately taken to the extreme, but not to dispense with the metal portion. Partly reminds the electro Sichen phases of Theatre Of Tragedy, however, is much harder.
"Silent Kom Døden": Following the example Viler genre colleagues there is now a very long song with more than twelve minutes of playing time. The song is rather in a slow tempo and has a strong soundtrack feeling, which knows how to captivate the listener.
"The Funeral March": In keeping with the title names a dark song, with a pounding riffs and a lot of Gothic flair and a great chorus again.
"Profound Scars": A hard, driving final song with a fantastic guitar work and again the electronic gadgets in the verses. Quite a lot of variety, unusual turns and one of the major highlights on "Perils Of The Deep Blue".
"A Blizzard Is Storming": As a conclusion of the normal album, there again an exemplary symphonic metal song, which has partly certain parallels to old Within Temptation and again comes up with a brilliant chorus and solo part.
"Chains": The first of the two bonus songs. A good song, even if it is entirely justified that it is a bonus just because he acts on uneigenständigsten of all the titles and has no individual character. This is critical at a high level, especially the Kamelot-like melodies in the intro and know the interlude to please, but chains is therefore with some distance the weakest song on the album including bonus songs.
"Blue Colleen": Sirenia meets Industrial. And it works amazingly, really good. Again, it is justified that the song is a bonus as the mood but is significantly different from the normal album songs. Unlike "Chains" but incredibly independent and strong.
I really fell in love with this album at the first hearing. The word masterpiece is actually appropriate here. VERSATILITY is written here quite big;) A feast for all Gothic / Symphonic / Femal Fronted Metal lovers can not go wrong with this album, here there is everything a Genrefan could only wish for. Sirenia finally eliminate their weaknesses and are now stronger than ever. There is also here with the two bonus tracks whopping 77 minutes play time! I had my doubts, but they were clearly rejected. And for the first time in my life I have the sticker on the album agree without objection "The most amazing Sirenia album we've ever heard. A must-have!"
