Almost one month after publication of the second posthumously assembled collection of songs from the eternal King of Pop Michael Jackson, the vinyl edition will nachgeschoben to XSCAPE. Even before you could take a look at the track list and realized disappointed that the original versions of all missing, which were annexed to the deluxe CD edition and make a big stimulus Xscape.
It is simply incomprehensible that one has the compilation is not issued as a 2-LP set, on which the whole work is represented. The name Michael Jackson finally stands for high sales, so why not deluxe vinyl? Most fans say of course the original versions more likely to (me especially that of SLAVE TO THE RHYTHM with the hypnotic keyboard metronome that is unfortunately missing in the revised version).
I want so to belittle the work of the producer Timbaland, John McClain, Stargate and Rodney Jerkins Never. In some pieces, they have succeeded, the spirit of the original version either maintain (LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD was to within a few added beats seem hardly more touched) or to finalize in MJ tradition (A PLACE WITH NO NAME has in my opinion a LEAVE ME ALONE vibe that I love). But just because two versions were circulated of the new titles, one would like to also hear the complete concept album on LP and not merely the eight pieces plus revised LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD duet with Justin Timberlake.
--- For vinyl ---
The negative aspect to the lack of finished demos is the an otherwise graceful LP Set opposite. The pressure has a high quality. It was audiophile 180 gram vinyl used that ships with clean surface. The full sound can unfold it well. The CD media is far superior to the record. Timbaland tends known to override his beats to bursting. That's why the bass muddy example, in Chicago and A PLACE WITH NO NAME in audible extent on the CD - but not on the LP! Here they drown clippingfrei through the speakers and even retain their impressive intensity, which carries, among other Timbaland's handwriting.
Who has not incidentally acquired the standard CD, the contents of which can be download free. A small flyer with the cover on one side and the download code on the other side was settled for this purpose.
Speaking Cover: It shines, unlike the the gray background CD edition, in glossy silver. Inside, it is lit as well as the outside. From US-artist Mr. Brainwash created, by the way just as responsible for the pop art cover of Madonna's best-of album CELEBRATION, his vision of MJ shines amidst a colorful galaxy.
The shell also comprises two cardboard sleeves. In the front there is an approximately 10 "-large paper printing with the MJ-motive that currently emblazoned on the wall of Mr. Brainwashs studio in Los Angeles;. In the rear resting the vinyl that goes into a printed text with dust On his lyrics and notes were given on both sides of the formation periods of the individual securities and the entire album itself.
The extra-DVD deluxe CD was the LP set (thankfully!) Not added. Then the producers palaver for half an hour, what they have made of MJ's hidden recordings. To get this information, it actually only requires reading the CD booklets or - in this case - of the dust cover.
--- Conclusion ---
Transparency seems to be the keyword when it comes to Michael Jackson's second posthumous compilation XSCAPE. After I did the first, so MICHAEL, acquired on CD, I was so disappointed that I wanted to buy a further recordings more, has not brought out the MJ alive. The best powder was nevertheless already Missed That may well, but the curiosity as a fan but then has gained the upper hand. XSCAPE offers surprisingly wonderful extensions to some Albumären. Everything sounds much more complete than MICHAEL, on which I had the feeling that individual song rags strung together to hear that recur often. When you hear the (unfortunately not available) demos, you just notice the difference. This transparency, I would have liked for the predecessor. The question about the authenticity of the whole material which is declared as the original versions heard for me in another forum. The end product is already convinced, however, more than MICHAEL. MJ's genius can be felt even five years after his death anew. It would have been a shame to let these precious recordings stale unheard in the archive. Had Michael Jackson finished demos also pressed onto the plate, I was on it and was about to be awarded five stars. So there are great despite Setumfang and good sound quality, only four became.
